Vibration Analysis:

  • Any frequencies up to 20 kHz
  • Used for detailed analysis of bearing fault
  • Monitor gear mesh frequencies
  • Detect normal faults (unbalance, misalignment)

Ultrasound Analysis:

  • Any frequencies GREATER than 20 kHz
  • Used for early bearing fault warning
  • Helpful with lubrication of bearings
  • Monitor lubrication between two surfaces
